Meatloaf

To make a simple Southern meatloaf, start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine 1 pound of ground beef, 1 cup of breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup of chopped onion, 1/2 cup of milk, 1 egg, and 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and a dash of hot sauce if you like a little kick. Mix everything until well combined, then shape it into a loaf and place it in a baking dish. For extra flavor, spread a mixture of ketchup and brown sugar on top of the meatloaf. Bake for about 1 hour, or until cooked through. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with mashed potatoes and green beans for a classic Southern meal!
